Meeting prior to the call for tenders for the redevelopment of Surat and Udhna stations

A pre-bid meeting regarding the redevelopment of Udaipur, Surat and Udhna stations was organized by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation (ISRDC) on September 15.

According to ISRDC officials, a total of 14 key developers, funds and interested consultants such as Adani, Kalpataru Group, Cube Constructions, JKB Infrastructure, GMR, MBL Infrastructures, Monte Carlo, GR Infra, Thoth Infrastructure, PSP Projects, Virtuous Retail South Asia Pvt. Ltd, Sikka Associates, Egis India and Adroit Financial participated in the pre-offer meeting.

The ISRDC was commissioned to redevelop the three stations with the aim of “transforming stations into ‘Railopolis’ in order to provide state-of-the-art equipment on par with that of an international airport for a superior travel experience. “

The redevelopment of the station will bring several benefits in terms of improving connectivity, integrating multimodal transport and boosting commerce and real estate. According to ISRDC officials, the redevelopment of the Surat Multimodal Transportation Platform (MMTH) railway station will be carried out by a special-purpose vehicle, the Surat Integrated Transportation Development Corporation Limited (SITCO), incorporated under of the Companies Act 2013 as a joint company. between IRSDC, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) and Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), with the approval of the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Gujarat.

The total area to be developed is 3,31,491 m². for Surat MMTH station and 7 38 088 m². for Udhna station. The built-up area (BUA) for the development of the station park is approximately 465,000 m² and 37,175 m². for Surat MMTH station and Udhna station, respectively.
